Skyve 20190920 released

This was another big release, and adds some great new functionality to the Skyve open source platform. Charts can now be added to applications using the same low-code metadata used to build the rest of the interfaces. SmartClient got an upgrade from version 11 to 12 and brings a new default theme. A new image widget type was added, and a new type of association was added to improve performance for large object graphs.

Skyve 20190813 released

So it’s been a little while between releases. We had a bit of a false start with the July release which wasn’t quite ready for general use, but we’ve got some good stuff in this one to make up for it! Skyve 20190813 adds the option to use leaflet for maps instead of just Google Maps, as well as adding support for MySQL version 8.

Skyve 20190630 released

Skyve 20190630 is now available in Nexus. This release adds introductory support for PostgreSQL and PostGIS. This has been tested with PostgreSQL version 11, but should support versions as far back as Hibernate has a dialect for (8.1 - 9.5). The skyve-maven plugin has also been upgraded to 1.14 which make assembly much easier as it now updates almost every file automatically.

Skyve 20190404 released

Skyve 20190404 is now available in Nexus. This release introduces the ability for Skyve applications to generate their own SAIL testing configuration at runtime to make user interface testing even easier. It also adds the ability to disable all form controls at the form level in PrimeFaces, as well as several other minor improvements.

Foundry v1 now available

Well that took a lot longer than we expected! We’ve been working on this release since December, but Foundry version 1.0 is now available. In addition to a whole bunch of stability and usability improvements, this release adds the new Collaboration feature and introduces the Studio module.

Skyve 20190312 released

Skyve 20190312 is now available in Nexus. This release adds the ability to automatically configure the correct database dialect security stanza from the dialect declared in the JSON, allowing different environments to use different databases. It also allows SAIL tests to run in a headless browser, e.g. for testing in a CI environment.

The 20190201 release of the Skyve framework is now available in Nexus. This release addressed some minor issues and added the supportEmailAddress property to be able to insert contact information for the system administrator.
